Marathon Electrical Contractors, Inc. was incorporated in the State of Alabama in March of 1987 and has experienced steady and profitable growth since. Employment has grown from 22 in 1987 to a current level of over 300 employees. Marathon's growth continued in the lean construction markets from 1989 to 1992 and has grown in the years of expanding construction. The volume of sales has grown from $687,000 in 1987 to approximately 65 million in 2008.

Marathon services all aspects of the electrical construction industry: residential, commercial, industrial including fire alarm, security and sound systems, fiber optic and computer cabling.

This method of on the job training and a comprehensive classroom curriculum prepares the apprentice for the industry of tomorrow. In addition, Marathon participates in many continuing educational programs, including Dale Carnige, NEC and Fire Alarm Systems seminars. It is our belief that by investing in our employees knowledge, we can better serve our clients with the most cost and time effective methods of installation by staying on the leading edge of technology.
