Marathon Electric was incorporated in the State of Alabama in March of 1987. Marathon Electric has had steady and profitable growth since the beginning of the corporation. Employment has grown from 22 in 1987 to a current level of 298 employees. Marathon ’s growth continued in the lean construction markets from 1989 to 1992 and has also grown in the years of expanding construction. The volume of sales has grown from $687,000 in 1987 to approximately 65 million in 2008.Work performed by our forces includes all aspects of electrical construction including sound systems, fiber optic cabling, computer cabling and data-com installation.
